Business Info

Upload documents and import content so your AI receptionist can answer questions about your business accurately.

How It Works

Your AI receptionist uses your business info to answer caller questions. When someone asks about your services, hours, pricing, or policies, the AI searches what your agent knows for relevant information and uses it to provide accurate answers.

The more complete your business info, the better your agent can help callers without needing to transfer them to a human.

Uploading Documents

Navigate to Dashboard → Knowledge and click Add Document or drag and drop files onto the upload area.

Supported File Types

  • PDF — Brochures, menus, policies
  • DOCX — Word documents
  • TXT — Plain text files
  • Images — Menus, price lists, signs (text will be extracted)

Maximum file size: 10MB per document.

What to Upload

  • Service menus and pricing
  • FAQ documents
  • Business policies (cancellation, refunds, etc.)
  • Staff bios or specialties
  • Location and parking information

Importing from a Website

Click Import from URL to scrape content from a web page. This is useful for importing:

  • Your services page
  • An existing FAQ page
  • Team or about page
The URL import works best on public pages with text content. It may not work well on pages that require login, use heavy JavaScript, or are primarily images.

Document Status

After uploading, each document shows a status indicator:

  • Indexed — Document is processed and ready. Your agent can use this information.
  • Processing — Document is being analyzed. Usually takes less than a minute.
  • Failed — Something went wrong. Try re-uploading or converting to a simpler format.

Testing Your Business Info

Use the Test Your Agent chat panel on the Business Info page to verify your agent can answer questions correctly.

Good Test Questions

  • "What services do you offer?"
  • "What are your prices?"
  • "What's your cancellation policy?"
  • "Do you offer [specific service]?"

If your agent can't answer a question, upload a document that contains that information or add it to an existing document.

Tips for Great Business Info

  • Be Specific: Include specific details like prices, durations, and policies. Vague information leads to vague answers.
  • Keep It Current: Update your business info when prices change or policies are updated. Delete outdated documents.
  • Think Like a Caller: Make sure your business info answers the most common questions customers ask.
  • Use Clear Formatting: Well-structured documents with headers and bullet points work better than walls of text.
